Rebecca Rosenberg, PA-C
Owner & Founder of Fortis Sports Medicine
Medical Coordinator for USA Taekwondo
Emergency Room and Surgical Physician Assistant
Located in Baltimore, Maryland, Rebecca currently works full-time as a Physician Assistant in the Emergency Department at a major academic institution, in addition to working part-time in the operating room. With a passion for athletics and injury prevention and treatment, she brings a unique combination of clinical expertise and hands-on experience to her practice.
Rebecca’s journey in sports medicine began in 2003 as a student at the University of Florida, where she was an active Taekwondo competitor. While balancing her athletic pursuits, she volunteered for Bare Essentials Sports Medicine, gaining valuable experience on-site at competitions. This early exposure to sports medicine fueled her passion for helping athletes stay healthy and perform at their best.
Rebecca continued her education, expanding her knowledge and skillset in the fields of massage therapy and athletic training prior to attending Physician Assistant school. Her passion for sports medicine grew as she recognized the importance of understanding injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance optimization in both herself and other athletes. This hands-on experience was invaluable, and as Rebecca's understanding of the physical demands of sports deepened, she was able to combine her athletic training with her expanding medical expertise. Over the years, she continued to cover various sporting events, including boxing, cheerleading and BMX.
With over two decades of experience under her belt, Rebecca took the leap to open Fortis Sports Medicine, driven by her desire to provide expert, personalized, comprehensive care to athletes. Fortis’ approach is rooted in evidence-based practices and a deep, personal understanding of the physical demands that athletes face.
